Revolutionizing empty roll container logistics: Our rolltainer® – the roll container with plug-in system

FEIL is setting new standards in empty roll container compression with the revolutionary rolltainer® with plug-in system. The basis is a high-quality plastic rolling base made of robust HDPE material. The innovative plug-in system enables quick and systematic compression of empty roll containers. Up to four side panels can be securely inserted in the middle, while four additional side panels can be flexibly positioned in between. Additionally, four plastic rolling bases can be packed away into the left and right of the inserted side panels.

This well thought-out mechanism offers significant advantages:

• Optimal empty roll container compression: Compared to conventional empty roll container compression, the capacity utilization of each storage space can be increased by up to 150 %. Up to five roll containers can fit into a single storage place.
• High occupational safety: The fixed slots for up to four side panels ensure a safe work flow.
• Sustainable storage and empty roll container transport: efficient compression reduces storage and transport volumes, which contributes to a more sustainable logistics process.
• Compatibility with existing systems: The new rolling base is 100% compatible with already existing FEIL components. There is no need to purchase new side panels – side panels with a lockable foot bar are ideal.
• Flexible storage: Side panels can also be stored exclusively within the rolling base.

The rolltainer® with plug-in system is equipped with Ø 108 mm polypropylene castors (two swivel castors and two fixed castors) and is available in three different usable heights. The side panels are made of sturdy Ø 22 mm round tube with a 12 x 3 mm flat iron infill and have a horizontal, central cross tube (Ø 16 mm). The side panels are galvanized blue to protect against corrosion. Optionally, swivel castors with total brakes and/or central with directional brakes can be fitted on both sides.

Eco-friendly alternatives to wrapping film

In addition to efficient transport solutions, FEIL attaches great importance to sustainability and climate protection. To reduce the consumption of conventional wrapping film when securing loads in two- and three-sided roll containers, FEIL offers three innovative, more environmentally friendly alternatives:

• Pacture: A reusable cover made of sturdy material that is slipped over the side panels and encloses the entire rolltainer®.
• Roll-Safe: A thin hollow chamber panel that is attached to the open sides of the rolltainer® using elastic straps with hooks and closes them. When not in use, Roll-Safe can be hooked onto the side panels to save space.
• Securing grid: A sturdy construction that is fixed to the side grid on one side by double hinges made of high-quality plastic and then locked in place with elastic straps. When not in use, the safety grid can also be folded against the side panels and locked into place.

These alternatives significantly reduce single-use plastic consumption, making an important contribution to environment protection and resource conservation.
